Hub researcher Dr Heinz Schandl delivered the keynote address at Waste Expo Australia in Melbourne last month, exploring the potential and economic implications of the circular economy transition.
The event is the largest gathering of waste management and resource recovery professionals in Australia, supporting the advancement of waste management best practice to benefit the environment and community.
Dr Schandl is the lead of the Hub's Impact Priority 5: Waste management impact research.
This work provides research and tools to support the circular economy transition, focusing on metrics, governance, Indigenous opportunities and policy conditions for industry transformation.
