Webinar series on waste as a resource

Hub Leader Prof Veena is delivering a three-part series on 'waste to value' for the Victorian local government professionals association, LGPro.

She will be highlighting how and why waste is a resource, and explaining the work of the Hub which is finalising its first round of research projects across five impact priority areas.

She will also be demonstrating some of the UNSW SMaRT Centre innovations that can transform a variety of wastes into valuable new products and feedstock for manufacturing.

For the first webinar, Veena led a discussion for the first webinar focusing on turning waste into value, from big picture sustainability through to the technical playbook on recycling materials that can be used in council infrastructure.

The webinars are for members of LGPro as part of their ongoing webinar series, and the Hub is pleased to be engaging local government professionals in Victoria to help deliver more sustainable communities and better waste management.

Webinar 1 - 4 March

Webinar 2 - 1 April

Webinar 3 - 29 April
