On 28 March 2023, the Hub is jointly hosting a Key Thinkers Forum on Air Quality and Indigenous Health, with Macquarie University, the HEAL Network and Asthma Australia.
Facilitated by Professor Tom Calma AO and with a special address by Hub Leader, Professor Veena Sahajwalla, the event is open to those interested in:
- Current and emerging air quality issues in First Nations’ communities
- Impact of air quality on First Nations’ health, including asthma
- Air pollution risk reduction strategies and communication
- Research and translation gaps and priorities that exist - range of air quality issues, policy, community-led strategies and practice, geographical coverage.
- Strategies to strengthen First Nations’ research capacity in air quality science.
