ecologiQ Greener Infrastructure Conference

On 7 September 2022, Hub Leader Prof Veena will deliver a keynote speech at the ecologiQ Greener Infrastructure Conference.

Her speech, entitled 'Innovation and the future of material science', will cover how materials research, innovation and infrastructure can solve the problems of the future, build a circular economy and help achieve net zero.

She will also talk about the role of the Hub in helping to create a circular economy, how communities can be more sustainable and creating new jobs through aligning innovative recycling and manufacturing.

Veena will explain how the Hub has been tasked to research ways to reduce the effects of plastic, support sustainable people-environment interactions and offer options to minimise impacts of hazardous substances and pollutants, using its cutting edge technical capabilities, particularly in the fields of waste and materials processing.
