On 8 June 2023, Hub Leader Prof Veena will deliver a talk at the Resources, Energy & Industry Innovation Forum.
The forum is an initiative of the Australian Government via Regional Development Australia (Orana Division), in partnership with the Association of Mining and Energy Related Councils NSW.
Veena will share information about the Hub and its research program with its regional focus, and talk about plastic waste research and how innovative recycling methods and collaborative research hubs can help build a circular economy and deliver greater sustainability.
And she will join a panel discussion (session 3) with various research and industry speakers including Hub Steering Committee Chair Mr Michael Sharpe.

An industry day focused on project announcements, new technologies and innovations available to the industry. The day will include practical solutions for a zero emissions future, including microgrids, batteries, EVs, and funding innovation.
The day will close with informal networking drinks.

Day three will include industry outlook for energy and resources (all commodities) and aims to build a shared understanding between industry, government, local councils and their communities on issues around transition, social licence, development approvals, community engagement and workforce planning.
The day will close with a formal dinner at Lazy River Estate.

Friday, 9 June 2023 (Day 4)
Starlight Room, Dubbo RSLA half-day meeting for members of the Mining and Energy Related Councils. Non-member Councils are welcome to attend as observers. RSVP essential
